Sewer Camera Inspection

Sewer Camera Inspections

Sewer Camera Inspections is a specialized diagnostic service used to examine the inside of a property’s underground sewer line using a waterproof, high-resolution camera attached to a flexible cable. It allows our inspectors to see the condition of the pipe in real time without digging up the yard.

What it is and how it works?

The technician inserts a small camera into the sewer line—usually through a cleanout (a capped access pipe) or sometimes through a drain inside the home. The camera is mounted on a long, flexible rod that can travel through bends and long stretches of piping.

What it looks for

A sewer camera inspection is primarily used to identify problems such as:

Blockages:

Grease buildup Foreign objects Accumulated debris

Tree root intrusion:

Roots entering through joints or cracks A very common issue in older neighborhoods

Pipe damage:

Cracks, fractures, or holes Collapsed or partially collapsed sections

Pipe misalignment (bellies):

Sagging sections where waste and water collect Can lead to recurring clogs

Corrosion or deterioration:

Especially in older materials like cast iron or clay

As the camera moves through the pipe:

01

It transmits live video to a monitor.

02

The technician observes the interior condition of the pipe.

03

The distance traveled is tracked, helping locate specific issues underground.

04

A video is recorded and emailed to the client.
